As per the instructions in the pack (3rd paragraph) carefully cut out any non-printed white area you do not want to appear on your garment. Iron on a flat, hard, heat-resistant surface.
DO NOT USE AN IRONING BOARD! Preheat your iron for 5 to 8 minutes on the highest possible setting. DO NOT USE STEAM SETTING! Test your iron! Some irons get hotter than others. These instructions are for an average iron. If the back side of your transfer paper starts getting dark yellow or brown while ironing you should:
A) move the iron faster across the transfer
B) reduce the temperature on your iron or
C) reduce the total ironing time.
Cut out non-printed area leaving ¼ to ½ inch margin to the border. Round off edges to avoid corner liftoff after washing. Make sure the garment is completely flat and wrinkle free, Iron first if necessary to ensure this is flat.
Remove backing paper by carefully tearing a corner and peeling away from the face/image. Place transfer paper with design facing upwards in desired position on fabric. Cover image with the blue checked backing sheet with the squares facing up. Start ironing with straight, non-stop motions from top to bottom and side to side by using even, high body pressure.
Use the centre of the iron to reach all areas especially all corners and edges. Make sure the whole image has been ironed. The complete transfer time depends on the size of your image. As a guideline iron a full page for 180 secs, ½ page for 90 secs, ¼ page 30 secs. Irons with steam holes on the surface need a longer transfer time. Wait….. Remove the release Sheet.
Complete the Transfer Let the transfer paper cool completely Gently fold the fabric near an edge of the transferred image then smoothly and evenly peel away the release sheet. Your transfer is now complete.
